Additionally, an early preview of a free Microsoft Discovery app, accessible locally with a GitHub Copilot account, has been launched.

The accelerated timeline for quantum computing—from 2033 to 2029—is informed by Majorana 2’s advancements, although cautious optimism remains given the historically optimistic nature of quantum roadmaps. The 1,000 times reliability improvement specifically compares Majorana 2 to its predecessor, Majorana 1, rather than directly benchmarking against other companies like IBM or Google, which utilize different quantum architectures.
